Markus Funk is a Human-Computer Interaction researcher that is specialized in Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Human-Drone Interaction (“AR, VR, Drones”). He holds a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Stuttgart that he did at the HCILab under the supervision of Albrecht Schmidt. During his PhD, he spent a research semester at Fluid Interfaces group of the MIT Media Lab under the supervision of Pattie Maes in Cambridge, MA. Through industrial internships, e.g. at Yahoo!-Labs in Sunnyvale, CA under the supervision of Lars Erik Holmquist, Markus broadened his knowledge in using Human-Computer Interaction to solve real-world problems.
